Well, I am in the process of moving again. And after this, there will be at least one more move lol. I think I may be part gypsy :-P
Anyhoo, this means no internet access. And I most likely wont have it for a good long while, if at all until I finally leave this state. But I'm thinking too far ahead on that one. The point being, i'll be absent for a long while....though I seem to already be absent from DA and not as active as I used to be anyway.
The good thing about this move is that I will be closer to the masjid. It'll be nice to go there every Friday for Jummah.
Also, I got a letter from Jay Rockefeller

. Here it is:
Dear Jessica,
Thank you very much for your previous correspondence about the war in Iraq. This is a critically important issue, and I wanted to provide you with an update.
As you may know, I have long supported legislation that will bring this war to an end and allow us to bring many of our troops home, and deploy others to more critical threats around the world. Our nation security depends on refocusing our counter-terror strategy on the region along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, where al-Qaida terrorists leaders and foot soldiers operate freely. This region's terrorist safe havens are the real central front in our fight against terrorists. We need to redirect our military, intelligence, diplomatic and financial resources toward this region.
In Iraq today our troops' extraordinary skill and selfless sacrifice have led to significant reductions in violence. But the situation remains extremely dire. It is clear that the Bush Administration is attempting to take what was originally billed as a temporary troop surge and turn it into a permanent force increase, which is neither wise nor sustainable for our strained military. The current approach simply does not address the political and economical issues at the heart of Iraq's sectarian civil war.
We need a smart, tough, comprehensive strategy to end the war in Iraq and give the Iraqi people the opportunity to find their own peace. We should begin to transition U.S. forces away from deep involvement in Iraq's internal sectarian violence - the vast bulk of which has very little to do with the United States, or with al-Qaida, our primary enemy. Instead, a smaller number of U.S. troops in Iraq should focus on targeted counter-terror operations and training of the Iraqi security services. And the Bush Administration should begin aggressive diplomatic initiatives both inside Iraq and with Iraq's neighbors to help the Sunnis and the Shia of Iraq find a path to political settlement.
Every day I give thanks for our brave men and women who serve us in Iraq - and I seek out every opportunity to support and stand up for our troops when they return home as veterans.
The safety and security of our troops in Iraq is critically important to West Virginians and all Americans, and as the Congress considers its options in the upcoming days and weeks, I will certainly keep our troops and your perspective foremost in my mind.
As always, I wish you all the best.
Sincerely,
Jay
